This is your reminder to be your own best friend.

We support our friends with ferocity, encourage them to go after their goals and want to see them succeed. When it comes to our own goals, however, it seems so easy to postpone working on them, usually for some minor inconvenience.

What if we didn’t do that? What if we spoke to ourselves in the same encouraging manner the way we speak to those we care about. What if we instantly recognised the little ways in which we sometimes sabotage our plans and, well, what if we stopped doing this?

Whatever you are up against this week or working towards, remember – you’ve got your own back first and foremost. If you have already uttered the words this morning: “Have a great day!” to your family or friends but neglected yourself, do look in the mirror now and wish the same onto yourself. That person in there wants to see you succeed so much, so remember to work together and go after whatever it is that you want to achieve this week.
